Jay Bee's BBQ in Gardena, CA

We were watching another favorite show, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives, and learned about this tiny authentic BBQ place in Gardena, CA called Jay Bee's BBQ. We were so happy to learn that we could get southern style BBQ in the L.A. area and planned a trip. Gardena is about 45 miles northwest from Ladera Ranch and borders Compton. We drove up there last night. Totally worth the drive...we absolutely loved it. It was the best BBQ we've ever tasted. We were amazed that this little place in the middle of the street with bars on the windows and bullet proof glass at the order window could produce such fabulous BBQ. But, the ribs, pulled pork sandwich and brisket sandwich we ate were bold and smokey, zingy and a veritable symphony for the taste buds. We'll be going back again for sure...anyone want to join us?
