{) Lavender Hills Pumpkin Farm (}

Saturday was spent exploring various pumpkin farms and eating at the tastiest places. We drove to Fallbrook and ate the best breakfast on the planet at the Fallbrook Cafe. Seriously, my cinnamon french toast and maple syrup was sinfully delicious and I'll go back in a heart-beat. And Scott was in love with his Belgian waffle. We devoured our bacon, eggs, sausage and hash browns too. Oh my, we wish this little cafe was in Ladera and we'd be there every Saturday morning. From now on, I'll be making up excuses of why we are in desperate need to visit Fallbrook.

From there we went to Lavender Hills Pumpkin Farm and bought the cutest long-stemmed pumpkins we've ever seen. I'm loving it...real pumpkins with super long stems have added tons of charm to our fall decorations around the house. Then we went over to Strawberry Farms and picked a few green beans, radishes and carrots from their u-pick garden...how fun was that?

Next, we headed to Irvine Regional Park and discovered a really fun place to take kids. They had a haunted house, train rides, horse rides, petting zoo, games, mazes and more. Whoever decorated the place did a fabulous job. They had a really super assortment of perfect large pumpkins for sale. One pumpkin was so huge that they had a contest to see who could guess it's weight...if it's 260 or 275 we'll be winners of the fattest pumpkin contest and the winner gets to take it home. ;)

By that time, we were so close to Tustin that we decided to hit-up one of our favorite BBQ places, Beach Pit BBQ. Oh my yum. The spare ribs and the atmosphere are the best. We made it back just in time for me to go to the RS Broadcast, which of course was awesome. LOVE Saturdays.
